Radiant skin and a healthy glow are many women’s beauty goals, understandably so. It’s not always easy to achieve, and some skincare products aren’t doing us any favours. Loaded with chemicals that strip our skin, they can do more harm than good. Thankfully, there are plenty of natural cleansers to choose from. Here’s a list of our favourites:
Almond oil
Almond oil has been used since the beginning of time by women all around the world. It’s incredibly rich in vitamin E, a miracle vitamin for all skin types. Vitamin E has antioxidant properties that are great for repairing sun damaged skin, smoothing out wrinkles and preventing premature ageing from oxidative stress.
But that’s not all. Almond oil is rich in B vitamins too. Vitamin B3 helps good blood circulation. So it’s ideal for maintaining a healthy supply of oxygen to our skin, giving us that rosy glow. Just be wary if you have a nut allergy!
InStyle magazine loves Oskia’s Perfect Cleanser and so do we. As well as containing almond oil, it’s packed full of Omega 3 and other vitamins and minerals that leave your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Moringa oil
This tropical oil comes from the Moringa tree; a plant that is often referred to as ‘the miracle tree’. And it’s with good reason. Moringa oil is very high in vitamin C and B vitamins, as well as behenic acid. Great for brightening, nourishing and hydrating your skin. Vitamin C is also important for collagen production. The high levels found in this oil will help your skin renew itself, helping achieve that youthful glow.
Moringa oil’s natural antioxidant properties also make it super anti-inflammatory, helping with red blotches, uneven skin tone or acne breakouts.
Our favourite Moringa Oil cleanser is Emma Hardie’s Moringa Cleansing Balm. It balances, purifies and minimises the appearance of open pores.
Rosehip oil
Rosehip oil is great for repairing damaged skin. It’s high in Omega 3 and B vitamins, as well as vitamins C and A. The abundance of nutrients found in this wonder oil makes it ideal for healing scars and repairing skin. It’s ideal for hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and premature ageing.
Sarah Chapman’s Ultimate Cleanse will give your skin a daily dose of rosehip oil. It’s super light and refreshing and also gives an amazing deep clean. It’s like a multi-vitamin for your skin, leaving your skin nourished and healthy.
Neroli oil
Neroli oil is one of our favourite natural oils. It’s calming and makes us feel happy. Besides lifting our mood, it’s great for our skin. Its relaxing effects help to combat stress-induced acne, eczema and dull looking skin. Neroli oil has powerful yet gentle anti-microbial and rejuvenating benefits too, ideal for all sorts of skin types.
For your daily dose of neroli oil, look no further than balanceme’s Flash Cleanse Micellar Water. It smells great, leaves skin incredibly soft and has amazing anti-inflammatory properties that will keep your skin in perfect balance.
Camellia oil
Camellia oil has been used in China as a medicinal ingredient for centuries. Like all of our other oils, camellia oil is packed with vitamins A, B and E, so it has loads of skin loving properties too.
But what makes Camellia oil different is the level of zinc. Zinc is a mineral that’s responsible for cellular regeneration and replication. It’s fabulous for supporting new healthy skin cells. Acne has been linked to zinc deficiency in a number of sufferers too. So camellia oil might just be the miracle cure you’re after.
Pai’s Camellia and Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser is another favourite. It’s incredibly kind to skin because it’s free from acne and sensitive skin triggers like alcohol.
